FIRE OBSERVATION AND LOOKOUT TOWER IN JEZIORY WYSOKIE
Landscape values of the Forest Promotion Complex "Bory Lubuskie ( Lubusz Forests)" can be observed and admired from the observation deck of the brick tower in Jeziory Wysokie. The tower is also the component of fire protection system. This is the first brick tower with such functions, built after the Second World War by Zielona Góra foresters.
The tower is 41 m high and is built just like a lighthouse. It became recognisable sign of LKP "Bory Lubuskie".
To reach the tower in order to reach the observation deck, it is necessary to climb 176 stairs. From the observation deck, one can admire "roof" of the forest ( forestation of the area – about 70%), blue water fishing ponds, Jezioro Brodzkie, towns and villages, both on Polish and German sites, located in a picturesque area.
Next to the tower, there is big parking place. Near the stone with commemorative plague, there was planted Dąb Jana Pawła II (Oak) in 2006.
